Description
Côtes de Provence Rouge is a distinguished expression of the Southern Rhône, grown on stony clay-limestone soils and carefully crafted with Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre. Aged for 11 months in two-year-old barrels, the wine undergoes gentle filtration before bottling at the estate to preserve its character and complexity.
In the glass, it displays a deep, opaque red color with violet highlights. The nose is intense and elegant, revealing ripe wild black fruits, subtle spices, and well-integrated oak. On the palate, it offers a silky entry with a broad, structured mouth, showcasing compote-like flavors of blackberries and blueberries. The natural tannins provide a fine astringency, while the finish is spiced and mentholated, leaving a long, persistent impression.
Best enjoyed at its peak in 6–8 years, though it benefits from decanting in its youth.
Awarded Silver at the Concours Vignerons Indépendants and Bronze at Decanter, it embodies finesse, depth, and the authentic charm of the Provence.
